JOURNEY'S END
You're my journey's end
You old time friend
You've weathered the years right through
And in the west you rise
There to greet my eyes
Blue Mountains, oh so blue
chorus:
I'll see the wild birds fly
In the western sky
Watch as darkness curtains the view
And stepping from the train
I'm home once again
In these mountains, these mountains, oh so blue
With your sandstone walls
And your waterfalls
It's not hard to realise
As the bush resounds
To her many sounds
Nature's wonderland now greets my eyes
Many lights now glow
Far away below
Down in the city by the sea
Where I've spent my day
Oh so far away
But blue mountains now welcome me
